I’m a currently serving member of the RAF with over 20 years experience in maintaining aircraft of all types. My aim is to share my experiences with you and give an insight as to what the role of an modern day RAF engineer entails. The thoughts are all my own, and in no way represent the views of the Royal Air Force, the Ministry of Defence, or HM Government.
Where I can I will answer specific queries but please respect that there are topics I’m both unwilling and unable to discuss, they should be fairly obvious, but if I politely decline, please understand. To that end, should you require information that I am not in possession of, I will endeavour to point you in the direction of official RAF sources who are much better placed to assist you.
Many thanks for taking the time to read, and I look forward to sharing my experiences and insights with you here and on Twitter, posting as @TheRAFengineer.
